And what do they look forward to doing when the leave the office? In our monthly Employee Spotlight series, you’ll get a glimpse at one featured employee.
This month, we talked to Title Specialist, Taunia Davis, about her role here at Amur Equipment Finance, as well as what she does when she’s not at work.
Employee of the Month Interview
Here’s what Taunia had to say:
What do you do here at AmurEF?
I am a Title Specialist in the Title Department specializing in Repossession and Remarketing. I also assist the Collection, Asset Recovery/Remarketing, and Legal Departments.
How did you get into that field?
After working in Special Education & Behavior Management for Grand Island Public Schools for 14 years, I was ready for a change. I took my time looking for a challenging, fast-paced, and career-oriented position. I had heard from friends what a great company AmurEF is and I applied.
What’s the most rewarding thing about your job?
Happy customers! We strive to provide the best experience possible.
What do you love most about AmurEF?
I love the teamwork throughout our departments. I also love how committed AmurEF is to help raise awareness for such a diverse range of issues.
What’s the first thing you do when you get off work?
I go to the gym or play frisbee with my dog, "Kahaus"!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to go camping, fishing, boating, snow skiing, cooking, and spending time with my family, friends, and our 11 grandkids.
Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Lake Powell, in Arizona and Utah where I grew up.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would get certified in both scuba diving and fly airplanes.
Importance of Company Core Values
Every month, we recognize employees who exceed the day-to-day expectations of their role in the previous month. Title Specialist, Taunia Davis, was recently chosen as our April “Employee of the Month” because she continually rises to challenges and lives out AmurEF’s core values daily. Her COMMITMENT to the team and success of her department is demonstrated through her endless TENACITY. Taunia is the first person to volunteer to assist others, even when her own plate is full. And through TEAMWORK, Taunia has worked to help find efficiencies in the Repo Title process and always does so with a positive and supportive attitude. Recently the Title Department added two new team members and Taunia’s natural AGILITY immediately kicked in - working with the new team members by providing input and effort to help make this new team productive and successful.
Taunia has a unique ability of seeking the best way to assist and fulfill the expectations of customers. She serves with INTEGRITY while appropriately balancing the best interest of the company and its customers. Taunia is truly an awesome motivator to all and proves that RESULTS are important to her. Even when participating in extracurricular company activities, she shows great enthusiasm and focus.
