And what do they look forward to doing when the leave the office? In our monthly Employee Spotlight series, you’ll get a glimpse at one featured employee.
This month, we talked to Credit Analyst, Mike Rath, about his role here at Amur Equipment Finance, as well as what he does when he’s not at work.

What do you do here at AmurEF?
Credit Analyst
How did you get into that field?
I spent most of my career in the Risk and Fraud field for credit card processing. I felt it was time for a change and needed to add Underwriting and Credit Analyst experience on my resume. I needed to challenge myself in new areas of the trade.
What’s the most rewarding thing about your job? Everyday challenges, So many moving parts on this job. I learn something new every day.
What do you love most about AmurEF? I really enjoy working with my team. Great people with amazing personalities and talent. Since coming onboard I can sense AmurEF is about to break out into something really big, and being a part of that is a great feeling.
What’s the first thing you do when you get off work? Check in on the family and plan out a fun evening and dinner.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Spend quality time with the family and friends. Go to movies, ball games and concerts.
Where’s your favorite place in the world? Chicago – Great family vacations growing up. Enjoyed going to the White Sox games every summer 4-5 times a year. I loved taking the kids to the museums in Chicago, such great memories. Additionally, Disney World will always be special nerd moment for this guy and my kids.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I’ve always wanted to be writer. Writing a Sci Fi or comedy screen play or book would fun.
